The PlayStation 5 (PS5) is a popular gaming console, but it can develop issues over time, such as overheating and most commonly, a broken or damaged HDMI port. A damaged HDMI port can disrupt the audio and video output, rendering the console useless. However, with the aid of a microscope and microsoldering techniques, we can repair a damaged HDMI port on the PS5 and restore its functionality back to normal, savings you tons in the process!
The first step in this process requires complete disassembly of the PS5. There several layers of plastic shells, heat sinks, brackets, and dozens and dozens of screws before we get to the motherboard layer that has the broken HDMI port. Once the PS5 is disassembled (and cleaned), we proceed with removing the broken HDMI port with a hot air station and carefully soldering on a new port under a microscope using specialized microsoldering equipment.

Furthermore, most DIY attempts result in even more damage that ends up costing more to repair or even renders the console unrepairable in the worst cases.
